Hi, there! My name is Aubrey and above is my best friend Ludwig (“Luwi” pronounced “Loo-vee” for short.) Luwi got really sick in the summer of 2018 and as not getting him all the treatments and medications he needs is not an option for me, I have decided to turn my passion for animal photography into a business to pay for his treatments as well as help fellow pet owners to capture their beloved pets.
A little about me
I was born in San Francisco, CA and lucky enough to have been raised in 3 countries—for the most part in Hawaii, so don’t be surprised if a walking pile of coats shows up to your autumn, winter, or spring session.
My mom was an animal lover which meant that from a young age, my sister and I were surrounded with pets including (but not limited to) fish, turtles, birds, cats, dogs, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, and horses. We always had at least 5-6 cats (and 12 at one point) because our mom could never turn away a stray.
One of my sister’s and my favorite pastimes as kids was taking photos with and of our pets. Here is one of our 28 rabbits that we took with our mom’s 1980s model Nikon film camera and were particularly proud of at the time:
We knew each of these rabbits by name and spent most of the afternoon arranging them so as to prevent fighting and … um … excessive friendliness.
Having had so many pets growing up, I am used to dealing with animals of all personality types. I know that an animal needs to be happy and comfortable for its true self to come through in its photos, so if you choose to book with me, I will work with you to make your pet’s session as enjoyable and successful as possible.
